PRESS RELEASE
October 23, 2009
On behalf of Chief David G. Dubois, the Rochester Police Department releases the following:
The Rochester Police Department reminds you to lock your vehicles, houses, and property daily. You, the citizens, work hard for your belongings, and your safety is paramount. Reduce the opportunities for thieves and prowlers to find items to steal, in locations such as unlocked vehicles, homes and items left in your front yard. Although well-lit areas may deter crimes at night, exercising safety precautions will greatly reduce thefts in these areas.
The Rochester Police Department is always looking for information related to current and past crimes. In an effort to help solve current and past crimes, the Rochester Police Department is looking for information to assist in solving these crimes. If you or someone you know has information to help in solving a crime in the City of Rochester, you can call the Rochester Crime Line at 335-6500 with this information. Callers can remain anonymous. Information leading to an arrest and prosecution may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
The Rochester Police Department would like all citizens to enjoy the comfort of being able to leave your vehicles, and homes, knowing that when you return, you have not been a victim. Stow all loose property inside of your vehicles, and homes, out of sight of pedestrians. Reducing the opportunity of a theft will reduce you becoming a victim. Something that can’t be seen is something that can’t be taken!!!
For Chief David Dubois
